The local Earlsfield railway station provides for quick journeys to Central London (3 stops to Waterloo in 12 minutes) and other areas in South London (Victoria – changing at Clapham Junction, Wimbledon one stop).  Southfield Station is on the District line connecting easily into the central London Tube Network.

There is also a good bus service that connects to other areas.


Garratt Lane offer many shops, bars, and restaurants (very few chain stores).  There is also a large Sainsburys and Waitrose at the top of Garratt Lane.

The nearby Southside shopping centre offers a wide variety of shops as well as a multi screen cinema.

Southfields high street has some nice local cafes and convenience shops.

Eating and drinking

Garratt Lane offers a good variety of international restaurants and local pubs.  For late nights head for GJs at the top of Garratt Lane.  The Southside shopping centre is now a hive of activity in the evening, now with a Wagamamas and Gourmet Burger Kitchen.


Earlsfield and Southfields are primarily a residential suburban area of London which is often overlooked in comparison with the better known neighbourhoods of Battersea, Clapham and Balham.
